Getting to the conference center
The conference is at The Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry Convention (https://www.kcci-convention.com/), Note: the venue is not the Kobe International Conference Center – both of these venues are very close to each other, it’s easy to mix them up.

There are three (3) airports around Kobe/Osaka (i.e., Kansai District.) Kobe is very near Osaka, so the destination of flights should be Osaka. There are two options for Osaka: direct flight to Osaka and transit from Tokyo to Osaka.
International Flights directly to Osaka:
KIX (Kansai International Airport) is an international airport with some international flights in the Kansai district. Train and Bus are available from KIX to Kobe.

Travel time via transit from KIX: 2 hours
Start: Kansai International Airport
Take: JR Kansai Airport Line (Haruka) from Kansai Airport to Osaka Station
Take: JR Tokaido-Sanyo Line from Osaka to Sannomiya Station

To Osaka transit from International Flights to Tokyo:
More international flights arrive at Tokyo(Narita: NRT/ Haneda: HND). Now, direct international flights to KIX are less than before COVID-19. Then, please look for an international flight to Tokyo and transit to the Kansai district. From Tokyo, there are two options for coming to Kobe: domestic flight and Shinkansen (i.e., bullet train.)
Domestic flight:
Osaka International Airport(aka Itami Airport: ITM) is the airport for domestic flights. Participants arriving in Tokyo should have a connecting flight from HND/NRT to ITM. The bus is the best way to go to Kobe from ITM.

Shinkansen (Bullet train):
Shin Kobe is the best Shinkansen station. From Tokyo to Shin Kobe, it takes 2 hours 30 minutes by Shinkansen. We strongly recommend the flight option: it takes longer than domestic flights. But, it is also an available option for those who cannot take a ticket for domestic flights or like to travel by train.

Take: Shinkansen from Shinagawa Station to Shin Kobe Station

Detailed instructions for getting to the conference center
1. Take a train to JR Sannomiya. Note, JR Kobe is NOT the goal. DO NOT head to JR Kobe.
2. Exit from East gate
3. Turn right then you can see the sign for Port Liner station
4. Take a monorail to Shimin Hiroba (Convention Center)
5. Get off the monorail at Shimin Hiroba station
6. Exit from East gate
7. Down stairs at your right side
8. Walk straight
9. Across the bridge, and you can see the CCI-Convention Center
10. You can see the entrance just in front of you
